18th Asian Nations Chess Championships 2014, Tiongkok Kuasai Catur Standar


TABRIZ, http://www.caturbandung.wordpress.com – Tiongkok menguasai 18th Asian Nations Chess Championships 2014 kategori catur standar setelah tim putra-putrinya berhasil berada di posisi teratas sekaligus merebut medali emas. Tim putra Tiongkok merebut medali setelah menyisihkan tim India yang harus puas dengan medali perak. Meski memiliki nilai sama, Tiongkok memiliki total poin yang lebih baik daripada total poin yang berhasil dikumpulkan India. Peringkat ketiga diduduki oleh Tim Vietnam dengan nilai 14, disusul oleh Kazakhstan (12), Iran A (11), dan Iran B (9).

Di kelompok putri, Tiongkok merebut medali emas dengan nilai sempurna 10 hasil dari 5 kemenangan dari 5 babak yang dipertandingkan. Putri India harus puas di tempat kedua dengan nilai 7, hasil dari 3 kali menang, 1 kali imbang, dan 1 kali kalah. Sementara itu tuan rumah Iran A berhasil merebut medali perunggu.

18th Asian Nations Chess Championships 2014 diselenggarakan oleh Federasi Catur Iran, atas nama FIDE dan Federasi Catur Asia ( Zona 3.1 , 3.2 , 3.3 , 3.4 , 3.5 , 3.6 dan 3.7 ), di kota Tabriz-Iran dari tanggal 20 sampai dengan 30 Mei 2014. Diikuti oleh 10 negara di kategori Open dan 6 negara di kategori Women, Asian Nations Cup  2014 akan mempertandingkan nomor blitz, rapid, dan standard. Pertandingan diawali dengan catur cepat, dilanjukan catur standar, dan diakhiri dengan catur  kilat. Masing-masing tim terdiri dari 4 pemain utama dengan 1 pemain cadangan.
